My wife, Bonnie, and I met a small Bible College in Maine called Faith School of Theology. We were married July, 25, 1981 and have two grown sons, Jared and Seth. Seth is married to Lindsey and they have 2 sons Micah & Eli. So we’re grandparents, and it’s even better than everyone says it is!   I have had the privilege of serving as the Lead Pastor of Waypoint Church since December 2013. Prior to that I was the Lead Pastor of Community Evangel Temple in Lincoln, Maine for 22 years (1991-2013). I served on the faculty at Faith School of Theology from 1987-1991 and was the Headmaster from 1988-1991. Our ministry journey began in 1981 “on the road” as an itinerant evangelist. Bonnie and I both graduated from Faith School of Theology in 1981.

I was raised in a loving Christian family. Attending church and prayer in our home are some of my earliest childhood memories. I sensed the call to vocational ministry as a teenager and preached my first weekend of services when I was 16. Unfortunately, the church is long since closed…hope it wasn’t my fault!?

What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
